SMV Engineering, PLLC (SMVE) is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm specializing in civil and environmental engineering consulting, construction management and construction inspection. Stephanie Vetter, P.E. founded SMVE in 2016 on the premise of providing outstanding quality civil and environmental engineering services in a responsive, detailed and customer focused manner.

The quality of services we provide is the foundation of the company’s success and is a guiding principle for maintaining strong working relationships with our long-standing clients. We are passionate about developing new clients and supporting emerging construction and engineering firms.

SMVE is committed to delivering quality services and technical expertise in the fields of geotechnical subsurface investigation and consulting; construction management and inspection of water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure. Construction Services

Construction Management and Inspection

SMV Engineering provides construction management and inspection services to both private companies and municipalities. We support our clients with assistance in all phases of development including bid assistance, review of shop drawings and material submissions, budgeting and cost control, scheduling, review of contractor pay applications and aid in the final closeout.

Our OSHA trained inspectors maintain quality control ensuring that the correct materials and methods are used and that installation conforms to the standards and specifications. SMVE’s inspectors also understand that time management and proper documentation is a vital aspect of construction management and inspection. They attend weekly progress meetings, aid in scheduling and provide various forms of documentation that include daily inspection reports, maintaining field books, annotating drawings for as-built data collection, and maintaining photographic logs.
